Jerry Seinfeld seems to be everywhere lately. He is back on the stand-up track for the first time in a while. However, most recently he has been on talk shows, magazines and podcasts to promote his new The comedians in cars getting coffee. (The comedy legend even spoke Car and Driver recently—you can read that interview here.)
The collector’s coffee table book retails for $35 — but right now, on Amazon, you can pick up a copy for just a little north of twenty bucks. This is a great holiday gift idea for anyone who loves cars. Or comedians. Or coffee. And/or Seinfeld.
Comedians in cars getting coffee premiered in 2012 and ran for 84 episodes over 11 seasons, with the final show airing on Netflix in 2019. While Jerry claims that he has no plans to produce any more episodes of the show, he now has portions of almost every episode of Comedians in cars getting coffee in a 352 page coffee table book.
Aptly titled The comedians in cars getting coffee (Simon & Schuster), the volume contains excerpts and images from Seinfeld’s numerous interviews with various comedians. He reminisced about Larry David, poked fun at Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy, reunited with the cast of Seinfeld, and even paid a visit to President Barack Obama in the Oval Office.
Timed for the 10th anniversary of the show’s debut, the book is full of behind-the-scenes photos and anecdotes. It dives into the inspiration and creation of segments, the most memorable lines from guests, unforgettable moments by crew members, and, of course, an index of the cars.
Like the show itself, the book is more about the comedians than the cars (or the coffee). But anyone who has watched it knows that Jerry always chooses killer cars to drive around and interrogate his pals about their craft. It’s a real kick to watch, and the book promises to be almost as much fun as the show.
If you’re looking for a great gift idea for anyone who loves comedians, cars or coffee, come get it The comedians in cars getting coffee. It is now on sale at Amazon.
