Is it too early to start thinking about what to wear to Christmas parties? We didn’t think so.
Christmas is the time to wear things you wouldn’t normally reach for on a day-to-day basis. That’s right, we’re talking about glitter, sequins and MORE glitter.
Whether it’s with work, family or friends, we recommend that you start your search for the perfect outfit as early as possible, so that all the good stuff isn’t taken.
To save having to do an emergency online order of every dress in stock, here’s some inspiration for the Christmas party season.
The classic little black dress
LBDs are famous for a reason. They are the perfect outfit when you don’t know what to wear or don’t feel that extra.
Available in a range of different cuts and styles, having a classic item in your wardrobe will see you through Christmas parties and beyond.
The great thing about such a simple dress is how you can play around with different textures to change the look. Velvet, leather, denim… the choice is yours.
If it’s a little too chilly to pull off a bare-legged mini, add some glamor and detail with patterned pants.
It is also a good option if you are not the most comfortable with color. With a little black dress you can add print and interest with bags, shoes and accessories – every time you wear this dress you can create a different look.
Don’t worry, we’re not talking about a floor-length dress made of furry material.
We’re talking hints of soft detailing on sleeves, skirt trims and jacket collars.
The simple touch really takes an outfit from 0-100 and – being a current trend – can be found everywhere.
If you are too overwhelmed with choices, we recommend a Bardot design with fur trim along the top. It looks great with skirts, jeans and everything in between, as well as heels or chunky boots.
Sequins are BACK
Inspired by the disco movement of the 70s, it’s hard to escape sequins right now.
They are on everything.
Is not it wonderful!
For a slightly slimmer version, pair a sequin skirt with an oversized t-shirt and a strappy heel. While still embracing the trend, you won’t end up looking like a disco ball.
For disco ball lovers, don’t be afraid to go all out. A dress covered inch to inch in the sparkly stuff guarantees an eye-catching entrance – perfect if you’re going from club to club this Christmas.
Take care of it
Suits are not given enough credit when it comes to party wear.
They come in many different cuts and styles – whether you want a skirt, wide leg pants or something more fitted, there’s definitely an option for you.
If you are conscious of buying an outfit for just one night, a cord is the perfect solution. You can wear each item again and again, separately or together.
Yes, Christmas is known for being a jolly season, but oh my god it’s cold. If you’re worried about standing in a train station in nothing but a minidress, a suit gives you a little extra coverage while still looking party-ready.
